Yeah, that sounds fair. I was thinking of changing it to something more like "raised by an off-the-grid survivalist who had a sort of bond with birds, eventually rejoined human society after he passed away" and her calling all of them her "bird family" as her own shorthand. Would that be okay? And in that case, would it be okay for her to have a sort of understanding with birds/ease of moving through the forest, not in any explicitly supernatural way?
